As well as being Chairman of UCS Group, Bulk Handling Australia and Australian Beverage Holdings, David is also a Director of Trippas White Group and Managing Director of Bridgeport Capital, a leading Australian mid-market private equity fund manager.
David has over 15 years of private equity funds management experience and is formerly a strategy consultant at Mainsheet Corporate in Sydney, Arthur D. Little in Singapore and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Melbourne.
David holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Niel started in the power distribution industry in 1977. As time went by, his passion for the industry grew. In 1995, with support from his wife and family, Niel and his two friends (Ray and Kevin) founded Underground Cable Systems (now UCS Group).
Niel’s focus has been on providing property developers with services that are timely, cost-effective and efficient. By maintaining this relentless focus, every year UCS has grown and improved. Throughout the journey, Niel forged many great friendships and he continues to do so to this day.
Now as a Non-Executive Director, Niel continues to share his passion for what UCS is all about and gets great pleasure from seeing his UCS family develop in their personal and professional lives.
As well as his directorship at UCS Group, Brendan is a Founder and Managing Director at Bridgeport Capital, where he is responsible for deal origination, transaction execution, fundraising and managing/monitoring the investment portfolio.
Brendan has over 12 years private equity funds management experience at Hawkesbridge Capital, and was an Executive with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked in the Corporate Restructuring and Project Finance teams, and was involved in prominent Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, M&A transactions, due diligence assignments and business reviews.
Brendan holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Economics from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He is a Senior Associate member of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
Stephen joined the UCS team in February 2018. He has a wealth of experience gained from more than 25 years of governing and leading large, complex, national organisations through establishment, development and transformational change; helping to deliver sustainable growth, customer engagement and solid business fundamentals.
Stephen’s leadership approach is from a basis of values and practical hands-on management. His key focus areas are customer centricity, operational excellence and innovation. Stephen focuses on values, strategy, technology, process and people to drive sustainable performance.
Stephen’s prior executive leadership roles have been at Downer, Spotless, Utility Services Group, Service Stream, Alstom, Brambles, to name a few.
Stephen holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) Honours degree and a Graduate Diploma of Company Directorship.
Aside from his commercial business work, Stephen volunteers his time with a number of NFPs including YMCA Victoria, YMCA Services, St Kevin’s College and AICD.
Sam began his career at UCS and has over 13 years of experience in the greenfield development industry. Sam possesses a solid understanding of the land developer’s business, as well as the electrical network construction industry.
Sam understands that delivering a quality, on time service as well as a professional, honest relationship is vital for the success of a project.
